How ManUp researches stories, uses AI assistance, checks sources and handles corrections.
Research and sources
We prefer primary and authoritative sources: official public bodies, regulators, product documentation, original research and direct statements. Articles show their principal sources where practical. Anonymous summaries and search snippets are not treated as evidence.
Health content
Health articles are written for general information and use sources such as the NHS and recognised professional bodies. They do not diagnose conditions or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Material medical claims receive extra source checking before publication.
AI-assisted work
AI may help research a topic, organise notes or produce an early draft. It does not publish directly. A human editor reviews the wording, claims, links, tone and suitability before an article goes live. Automated football scores come from a licensed structured-data provider and are handled separately from editorial articles.
Independence and commercial content
Paid partnerships, affiliate links, gifted products and advertising will be labelled. Payment does not buy an undisclosed recommendation. Where a commercial relationship could influence a reader's judgement, we will disclose it.
Corrections and updates
Material factual errors will be corrected as soon as reasonably possible. Substantial changes should be reflected in the article's review or update date. Minor spelling and formatting changes may be made without a correction note.
